Job Description

  • Inspect mechanical construction and installation works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable codes and standards.
  • Monitor and verify the quality of mechanical systems and workmanship, including HVAC systems, chilled water systems, piping, pumps, ventilation systems, mechanical equipment, and associated installations.
  • Ensure all mechanical works meet quality, safety, statutory, and environmental requirements.
  • Identify, document, and report non-conformances, defects, and quality issues, and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project teams to resolve technical, installation, and quality-related issues.
  • Witness and record key mechanical installation, inspection, testing, and commissioning activities.
  • Review shop drawings, method statements, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), material submittals, and quality documentation related to mechanical works.
  • Verify mechanical equipment and materials delivered to site against approved specifications and submittals.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records, site reports, punch lists, and quality documentation.
  • Support site supervision to ensure mechanical construction activities are executed in accordance with approved schedules and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines, including electrical, CSA, fire protection, controls/BMS, and commissioning teams, to identify and resolve interface issues.
  • Attend site meetings and provide updates on mechanical inspection status, quality issues, and project progress.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all inspection activities.
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders and escalate critical issues to the appropriate line manager.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 6 years of construction experience, preferably in data center, mission-critical, industrial, or large-scale commercial projects.
  • Experience in inspecting mechanical installation works, including HVAC, chilled water systems, piping, pumps, ventilation systems, and associated mechanical equipment.
  • Good knowledge of mechanical construction drawings, specifications, applicable codes and standards, and installation requirements.
  • Good knowledge of design review processes and pre-construction documentation, including Method Statements, ITPs, Quality Plans, and material submittals.
  • Experience reviewing shop drawings and verifying mechanical installation quality on site.
  • Familiarity with mechanical testing and commissioning activities is preferred.
  • Proficient in Thai and English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong coordination skills and ability to work effectively with construction, quality, safety, commissioning, and project teams.
  • Client-side or PMC full-time site-based experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
