Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Manager - Interior & Finishes to lead the planning, execution, quality control, and delivery of interior fit-out and finishing works across residential, commercial, mixed-use, hospitality, and high-rise development projects. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring superior quality standards, timely project completion, cost optimization, and seamless coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience in premium interiors, luxury finishes, project execution, contractor management, and client-facing project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Interior & Finishing Works Management

  • Lead end-to-end execution of interior and finishing works across multiple projects.
  • Oversee execution of flooring, ceiling systems, partitions, painting, cladding, joinery, modular installations, wall finishes, façade interfaces, and decorative elements.
  • Ensure all finishing activities are executed in line with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Monitor productivity, workmanship, and adherence to project timelines.

Project Planning & Execution

  • Develop detailed execution plans, work schedules, and resource deployment strategies.
  • Coordinate site execution activities to ensure achievement of project milestones.
  • Review project progress and implement corrective measures to mitigate delays.
  • Ensure smooth interface coordination between civil, MEP, façade, and interior teams.

Quality Management

  • Establish and maintain high-quality standards for all interior and finishing activities.
  • Conduct regular inspections and quality audits at project sites.
  • Monitor compliance with approved materials, mock-ups, shop drawings, and workmanship standards.
  • Drive snag-free project completion and timely closure of punch-list items.
  • Ensure successful testing, inspections, and handover processes.

Contractor & Vendor Management

  • Manage interior contractors, subcontractors, and material suppliers.
  • Review contractor performance and ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
  • Resolve technical and execution-related issues on site.
  • Conduct progress review meetings and monitor contractor productivity.

Cost & Commercial Control

  • Monitor project budgets and financial performance of interior works.
  • Review BOQs, material quantities, and procurement schedules.
  • Evaluate variation orders, claims, and change requests.
  • Identify opportunities for value engineering and cost optimization without compromising quality.

Design & Technical Coordination

  • Collaborate with architects, interior designers, consultants, and project teams during design development and execution stages.
  • Review design proposals, material specifications, shop drawings, and mock-ups.
  • Ensure design intent is maintained throughout execution.
  • Resolve technical challenges and recommend suitable finishing solutions.

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and statutory requirements.
  • Promote safe work practices across all interior and finishing activities.
  • Support project teams in maintaining zero-incident work environments.

Stakeholder Management

  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, project managers, procurement teams, and senior leadership.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, quality issues, and mitigation plans.
  • Ensure client expectations are met throughout project execution and handover.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor project engineers, site managers, finishing engineers, and contractors.
  • Drive team performance through coaching, training, and regular reviews.
  • Foster a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related discipline.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Project Management or Construction Management will be an added advantage.

Required Experience

  • 15-20 years of experience in interior fit-outs, finishing works, and project execution.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale residential, commercial, hospitality, retail, or mixed-use developments.
  • Experience handling premium and luxury interior projects is highly preferred.
  • Strong exposure to contractor management, project delivery, and quality assurance.
