Who are you?
You are an expert Project Manager with a minimum of 6 years post-graduate experience looking for the next step or are currently undertaking a similar role in a similar environment.
The is a hybrid opportunity based in Toronto, Vancouver or Montreal. We also welcome applications from candidates elsewhere in Canada who are open to relocating to one of these locations.
Job Description
As a Project Manager dedicated to this Enterprise account, you will be involved in:
- Leading projects and individual workstreams throughout the design, procurement, construction, furniture installation, workplace transition, and close-out process, including coordination with client IT and technology teams.
- Supporting the delivery of retail, commercial, and corporate office fit-out projects, including tenant improvements, workplace modernization initiatives, office relocations, and occupied-space renovations.
- Working with client stakeholders to establish project budgets, schedules, and project delivery strategies during the feasibility and planning stages.
- Setting up and leading project meetings, recording meeting minutes, tracking action items, and driving deliverables to completion.
- Ensuring project compliance with client governance requirements, document controls, file management standards, and reporting processes.
- Collaborating and coordinating with client stakeholders, corporate real estate teams, facilities management, workplace services, consultants, client direct vendors, landlords, property managers, and contractors.
- Coordinating workplace technology requirements, including structured cabling, AV systems, security systems, access control, and other office infrastructure requirements.
- Providing regular project reporting, status updates, budget forecasts, and schedule updates to client stakeholders.
- Monitoring project budgets and schedules, proactively identifying risks, and recommending solutions to mitigate impacts to project objectives.
- Managing procurement activities, including tendering, evaluation, recommendation, and appointment of consultants, contractors, furniture vendors, and other project partners.
- Establishing quotations, purchase orders, and order placement with client direct vendors and service providers.
- Coordinating contracts, service agreements, and Master Service Agreements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Managing project change orders and ensuring proper documentation, approvals, and financial controls are maintained.
- Attending regular site visits during construction to monitor progress, quality, safety, and adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Preparing and administering project observation and site inspection reports.
- Processing payments to consultants, contractors, and direct vendors in coordination with the consultant team.
- Managing deficiencies and punch-list activities through project completion.
- Participating in commissioning, testing, and turnover activities to ensure operational readiness.
- Supporting occupancy planning, move management, workplace transitions, and business continuity requirements where applicable.
- Administering and coordinating project close-out documentation, including warranties, as-built documentation, lessons learned workshops, and final project reporting.
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 years of experience as a Project Manager managing or supervising construction and fit-out projects.
- Experience delivering retail, commercial, and/or corporate office fit-out projects is required.
- Experience with workplace projects, tenant improvements, office relocations, workplace modernization initiatives, and occupied-space renovations is considered a strong asset.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
- PMP certification is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate and manage multiple stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and vendors in a client-facing environment.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, contracts, procurement processes, and project controls.
- Experience coordinating furniture, IT infrastructure, AV, security, and workplace technology installations is an asset.
- Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and project scheduling tools such as MS Project or Primavera P6.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing project budgets, forecasting, and change management.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable working with technology and web-based project management platforms.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.

The base salary range for this full-time role is $95,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications.
