Job Description

Position Summary

The Project Controls Lead / Manager will lead the delivery of an integrated Digital Project Controls Managed Service supporting the project during engineering execution.

The role is responsible for establishing and maintaining a single source of truth for project performance, integrating schedule, progress, cost, risk and engineering delivery metrics into a unified project controls framework. The successful candidate will work closely with the EPC Contractor engineering teams, Client stakeholders, fabrication contractors and project leadership to provide timely, accurate and actionable project intelligence.

The position requires significant experience supporting large LNG or energy megaprojects and a strong understanding of module fabrication execution, progress measurement, contractor performance monitoring and interface management between engineering offices and fabrication yards.

A key component of the role is driving digital transformation within project controls through the deployment of advanced reporting, automation and AI-enabled analytics to improve decision-making, forecasting accuracy and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the project controls focal point between engineering teams and module fabrication yards.
  • Monitor fabrication progress, productivity, work pack readiness and milestone achievement across nominated fabrication facilities.
  • Ensure engineering deliverables are aligned with fabrication requirements and planned execution sequences.
  • Develop integrated engineering-to-fabrication performance reporting and forecasting.
  • Review contractor schedules, progress updates and productivity metrics to validate forecast completion dates.
  • Identify and escalate fabrication risks, bottlenecks and emerging schedule threats.
  • Support logistics, module completion and transportation readiness reporting.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or related discipline.
  • Minimum 20 years of project controls experience on major EPC, LNG, oil & gas, petrochemical or large-scale infrastructure projects
  • Minimum 5 years in a Project Controls Manager or Lead role.
  • Demonstrated experience working on at least one major LNG project during EPC execution.
  • Experience managing interfaces between engineering, procurement, fabrication and construction teams.
  • Proven experience working within multicultural and geographically dispersed project environments.
  • Experience supporting owner, EPC contractor or PMC organizations preferred.

Preferred Profile

  • Direct experience on LNG export terminal or liquefaction facility projects
  • Previous project controls leadership experience within an EPC contractor, PMC or owner's team environment.
  • Experience supporting engineering execution from engineering centres, or EPC organisations.
  • Experience managing project controls activities across module fabrication yards.
  • Strong understanding of modular execution strategies, fabrication progress measurement, module completion management and engineering-to-fabrication interfaces.
  • Experience deploying digital project controls solutions and AI-enabled reporting capabilities to improve project performance visibility and decision-making.
