Job Description
Within the South West region of the UK, our Infrastructure team has established strong positions across the Transport and Utilities sectors. With significant growth in recent years, we are continuing to expand our presence and are looking to connect with Project Controls Engineers and Senior Project Controls Engineers, particularly those based in Bristol, Cardiff and the wider South West area.
We offer the opportunity to work on high profile projects and programmes across the region, alongside wider UK opportunities, supporting clients in both Client PC roles. We are seeking Project Controls Engineers they are great at collaborating to solve complex challenges and continue to develop their technical skills and experience across the project controls and performance discplines.
Job Objectives:
This role will include a wide variety of tasks and activates as you build your capability not limited to but including:
Collaborating across all the Controls and Performance disciplines and interacting with Project Managers to gather data and progress across the project.
Collation of progress data from multi-discipline teams to update project/programme schedule in Primavera P6 and or MSP;
Collation of cost data from multi-discipline teams to support budget requests & update cost report;
Risk data collection and integration into reporting, helping identify trends and mitigations.
Preparation of monthly reports measuring progress against baseline;
Support the Project Controls Manager in applying governance & assurance of Project Controls processes.
Document management
Required Experience:
Project Controls Engineers are proactive, self-starters with well-developed communications and analytical skills;
Ability to analyse data
Reliable with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team;
Strong time management skills, quick thinking and ability to meet project deadlines as necessary;
Strong verbal and written communication skills required;
Demonstrated understanding of Project Controls concepts.
Preferred Experience:
This is a generalist project controls role and would be suitable for someone switching careers or someone ideally with 2 years industry experience post University or leaving a graduate/apprentice scheme.
Experience using controls/ general software applications such as Primavera (P6) and/or MSP, Power BI, Microsoft Office Applications is desirable;
Experience of working in project or programme management environment, with a job in delivery or controls
Qualifications
Degree or qualification in a relevant discipline with some experience in either a project control environment or office-based environment;
Full UK Driving Licence.
