Job Description
Turner & Townsend is a global leader in programme management, project management, cost management and consulting services. We partner with some of the world’s leading organisations to deliver complex and high-profile projects across the Industrial, Logistics, Manufacturing, Automotive, Data Centre and Pharmaceutical sectors.
Due to continued growth in Spain, we are seeking experienced Senior Project Managers to join our team and support the delivery of a major new Industrial project.
We are interested in speaking with professionals at different stages of their careers who are passionate about delivering world-class construction projects.
Job Objectives
- Lead the delivery of construction projects, ensuring performance against cost, schedule and quality objectives.
- Manage General Contractors, consultants, suppliers and key project stakeholders.
- Monitor project programmes and critical milestones, identifying and mitigating risks to delivery.
- Review construction proposals, contracts, scopes of work and commercial submissions.
- Validate project costs, capital expenditure and contractor payment applications.
- Review and assess cost-loaded schedules and project forecasts.
- Chair client meetings and provide clear reporting on project status, risks and opportunities.
- Evaluate construction cost drivers and produce accurate project controls reporting.
- Support procurement and management of long-lead equipment packages.
- Review and challenge contractor estimates, budgets and change orders.
- Act as the client’s representative during contract negotiations, claims and dispute resolution.
- Coordinate project scheduling reviews and monitor contractor performance.
- Oversee project close-out activities, including handover, warranties and final documentation.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years’ experience as a Construction Project Manager, ideally within Industrial, Manufacturing, Logistics, Automotive or Pharmaceutical environments.
- Solid understanding of Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical and/or Low Voltage building systems.
- Strong commercial awareness and experience managing project budgets and costs.
- Advanced skills in Excel, reporting and client presentations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly organised, proactive and comfortable working in fast-paced project environments.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to lead and support multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience in business development and building long-term client relationships is highly desirable.
- Fluent Spanish and a good level of English are required.
- Mobility and flexibility to work on projects across different locations in Spain would be advantageous.
