Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Project Director - Master Planning to join our organization in Cairo, Egypt. In this executive role, you will provide strategic oversight of all master planning activities, ensuring seamless alignment with our long-term development strategy and program objectives. You will serve as a key leader responsible for driving the vision, direction, and successful execution of complex master planning initiatives while maintaining the highest standards of professional excellence.
- Provide executive oversight and strategic direction for all master planning activities and initiatives
- Ensure alignment of master planning efforts with long-term organizational development strategy and program objectives
- Develop and communicate a clear vision for master planning projects to internal and external stakeholders
- Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with multiple departments to achieve planning milestones and deliverables
- Analyze market trends, regulatory requirements, and regional considerations specific to the Cairo market to inform strategic planning decisions
- Monitor project performance against established metrics, timelines, and budgets; identify and address variances promptly
- Manage stakeholder relationships and facilitate effective communication among all parties involved in master planning activities
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success
- Allocate resources strategically to optimize project outcomes and organizational efficiency
- Prepare and present comprehensive reports and recommendations to senior leadership and governing bodies
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and organizational standards
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the planning function
Qualifications
- Minimum 15+ years of progressive experience in project management, master planning, or strategic development initiatives
- Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale, complex planning projects from conception through execution
- Strong expertise in master planning methodologies, frameworks, and best practices
- Demonstrated executive leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate high-performing teams
- Advanced proficiency in strategic planning, analysis, and decision-making
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in project management tools and software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Budget management and financial acumen
- Risk management and mitigation expertise
- Preferred: Experience in urban development, real estate, or infrastructure projects
- Preferred: Knowledge of Egyptian regulatory environment and market dynamics
- Preferred: Experience with change management and organizational transformation initiatives
