Position Overview:
The Regional Capital Program Lead for Continental Europe is a key role responsible for ensuring rigorous compliance with reporting, process, and handover protocols for all capital projects within continental Europe, regardless of their delivery method. This role supports the Capital Program Integrator by providing oversight and driving consistent application of program governance across the region. The Lead will be instrumental in fostering a culture of adherence to established standards, facilitating smooth project transitions, and ensuring timely and accurate reporting for regional capital investments.
We are open to the right individual being commutable to Madrid, Spain or Rome, Italy.

What You'll Do:
Capital Program Compliance & Oversight:
- Oversee compliance with established reporting, process, and handover procedures for all capital projects in continental Europe.
- Manage Amex-selected third-party delivery of Agency or Principal projects within the Continental Europe portfolio.
- Capture meeting minutes, monitor timelines, and report on project progress specifically for the European region.
- Support the implementation and adherence to project governance, standards, and methodologies across all European projects.
- Report regional portfolio progress and compliance status to the Capital Program Integrator.
Program Governance & Execution:
- Ensure standardization of project processes, methodologies, and reporting frameworks for all capital programs within continental Europe, ensuring consistency, transparency, and efficiency.
- Monitor the delivery of all capital projects (Principal, Agency, & Small Works) in Continental Europe, providing a holistic view of progress, performance, and interdependencies.
- Monitor overall regional program performance, budget adherence, and schedule compliance, reporting status and key insights to the Capital Program Integrator.
- Support the resolution of inter-project dependencies and resource conflicts within the European portfolio, proactively identifying and mitigating program-level risks to ensure seamless execution.
- Ensure program alignment not only with strategic organizational goals but also among various project teams, stakeholders, and external partners within Continental Europe.
Financial Stewardship & Value Optimization (Support):
- Support the oversight of capital budgets for European projects, ensuring adherence to financial management processes.
- Assist in implementing robust financial reporting, forecasting, and audit mechanisms specific to capital spending in Continental Europe to ensure transparency, accountability, and resilience.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication (Regional):
- Serve as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders and project teams regarding compliance and execution of capital programs within Continental Europe.
- Contribute to regular reports that translate program data from the European region into actionable insights for continuous improvement.
- Maintain positive relationships with external partners and project teams in Continental Europe, representing the organization's interests and ensuring alignment with portfolio objectives.

- Compliance Excellence: Achieves consistently high levels of compliance with reporting, process, and handover requirements across all Continental European capital projects.
- Operational Efficiency: Contributes to streamlined project delivery and handovers within the European portfolio.
- Effective Reporting: Provides clear, accurate, and timely reports on regional project status and compliance to the Capital Program Integrator.
What You Bring:
- Project / Program Management Expertise: Proven experience in managing projects or programs, with a focus on compliance, reporting, and process adherence.
- European Market Knowledge: Understanding of project delivery nuances and regulatory environments within Continental Europe.
- Communication & Collaboration: Strong ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders and collaborate with project teams.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to monitoring compliance and ensuring accuracy in reporting.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues related to project processes and reporting.
- Education & Certifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Business Administration, or Project Management. Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.
- Experience: 7+ years of progressive experience in project or program management, with a focus on compliance and oversight, preferably within a multinational context.
