Job Description

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join our Talent Acquisition team. This is a high‑impact role responsible for identifying, engaging, and nurturing top passive talent for both current and future business needs. 

The ideal candidate will be proactive, analytical, and deeply aligned with our purposes and values.  

This role focuses on building a strong, forward-looking talent community by developing proactive pipelines aligned with demand planning, business priorities, and future skill requirements. 

This role is both strategic and hands‑on, serving as a brand ambassador for Turner & Townsend and delivering a personalized, high‑quality candidate experience. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and execute data‑informed, multi‑channel sourcing strategies, leveraging market data, candidate intelligence, and talent insights to identify and engage high‑caliber passive talent.
  • Leverage a variety of sourcing tools and platforms including LinkedIn Recruiter, ATS/CRM systems, AI‑enabled tools, niche platforms, and networking to map talent markets, uncover passive candidates, and build targeted pipelines.
  • Conduct consultative, high‑level conversations (e.g., phone screens) to assess candidate interest, qualifications, and alignment with Turner & Townsend roles and priorities.
  • Partner closely with Recruiters, Strategic Talent Partners, and business stakeholders to understand current hiring needs, workforce trends, and priority skill requirements.
  • Build, maintain, and nurture talent communities to support future hiring needs, including business‑critical, forecasted, and repeatable skill disciplines.
  • Maintain warm, engaged pipelines through ongoing candidate communication and regular updates to market insights, pipeline intelligence, and candidate information.
  • Act as a trusted sourcing advisor to Recruiters and Hiring Managers by sharing market intelligence, talent insights, and competitive trends.
  • Influence hiring decisions through data‑driven insights and candidate intelligence.
  • Proactively identify and present high‑value talent aligned with current hiring needs, priority skillsets, and anticipated future demand.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance across all sourcing systems, tools, and workflows.
  • Track sourcing effectiveness, continuously optimize sourcing strategies, and report on pipeline health and outcomes.
  • Deliver a consistent, respectful, and high‑quality candidate experience that reflects Turner & Townsend’s values and employer brand.
  • Support inclusion and diversity goals through inclusive sourcing strategies and balanced, representative pipelines.
  • Promote strong collaboration, a positive and proactive working approach, and continuous improvement across the Talent Acquisition team.
  • Provide support for recruitment operations and administrative activities as needed, including scheduling, documentation, job postings, and special projects.
  • Demonstrate a high level of self‑motivation, proactively and consistently engaging teammates and stakeholders to confirm, reinforce, and align on sourcing priorities.
  • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable. 

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in talent acquisition 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience in talent acquisition, headhunting, or sourcing, with a strong track record of identifying and engaging passive candidates and building pipelines for specialized or hard‑to‑fill roles.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with sourcing technologies and platforms, including LinkedIn Recruiter, ATS/CRM systems, AI‑enabled sourcing tools, and talent intelligence platforms.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, engage, and consult effectively across varying seniority levels and geographic regions.
  • Ability to synthesize data, market insights, and talent intelligence to inform sourcing approaches and support stakeholder decision‑making.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
  • Highly self‑motivated with the ability to proactively, assertively, and consistently engage teammates and stakeholders to confirm, reinforce, and align on sourcing priorities.
  • Excellent written communication skills with a polished, professional style, demonstrated ability to develop and maintain talent pipelines through consistent follow‑up, and strong capability to self‑organize and manage work independently.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Passion for relationship‑building, networking, and delivering an exceptional candidate experience.
  • Prior experience sourcing talent within construction, real estate, infrastructure, or professional services environments preferred.
