Job Description

Role Summary

As a Cost Manager for Commercial & Banking Fit‑Out Projects, you will manage the full spectrum of cost management activities across branch upgrades, corporate office fit‑outs, and banking environment refurbishments. You will support cost planning, tender management, commercial reporting, and post‑contract cost control to ensure projects are delivered within budget and aligned with client requirements.

Project Support & Coordination

  • Demonstrate strong understanding of pre‑contract and post‑contract cost management processes for fit‑out and interior projects.
  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and detailed cost plans for banking branches, office fit‑outs, and refurbishment works.
  • Support tendering and procurement activities including preparing tender documentation, evaluating bids, reviewing commercial submissions, and compiling contract documents.
  • Assist in monitoring project costs, managing variations, and supporting change control procedures.
  • Coordinate closely with design teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure alignment on project scope, materials, and finishes.

Governance & Reporting

  • Prepare monthly post‑contract cost reports and support client presentations.
  • Assist in value engineering and cost‑saving initiatives related to materials, specifications, and construction methods.
  • Maintain accurate cost records, cashflow tracking, and documentation throughout the project.
  • Support compliance with internal governance processes and ensure all cost‑related decisions are properly documented.
  • Collaborate with team members and contribute to knowledge sharing across projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in cost management or construction roles, ideally with experience in fit‑out, commercial interiors, retail, or banking environments.
  • Good understanding of cost planning, tendering, procurement, and post‑contract cost control.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with experience coordinating multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in CostX or similar estimating tools.
  • Business‑level and native English proficiency.
