Job Description
The D365 Project Lead is a critical role, acting as the central driver for the successful implementation and adoption of D365 across all regional operational functions. Their importance lies in ensuring the new system not only optimises operational processes and enhances efficiency but also effectively bridges the gap between the central project and regional teams, ultimately delivering tangible business benefits and fostering new ways of working.
The main areas of responsibility for this role are:
Lead Regional Operational Implementation
- Spearhead the regional engagement and successful implementation of the D365 system across all operational areas (e.g., supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, service delivery), ensuring the system effectively supports and enhances regional operational processes.
Cross-Functional Operational Integration
- Collaborate closely with relevant regional functional leads (e.g., Finance, Sales) to ensure the people, process, and business elements of the D365 migration are seamlessly integrated and delivered within the region's operational context
Key Operational Liaison
- Serve as the primary communication and coordination link between the core D365 deployment team, regional operational change champions, senior regional business stakeholders, and operational end-users, ensuring clear understanding and alignment.
Operational Change Advocacy
- Actively drive and advocate for the business change within regional operations, championing new ways of working and processes that align with the D365 system to maximise operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Operational Data Validation Oversight
- Ensure that local operational leadership and managers are fully engaged in and accountable for the data validation process, guaranteeing the accuracy and integrity of critical operational data within D365
Regional Operational Change Champion Network
- Identify, appoint, and empower a network of regional Change Champions within operational teams to support user adoption, provide peer-to-peer guidance, and facilitate the transition to the new system.
Operational Feedback & Continuous Improvement
- Proactively obtain feedback from regional operational teams and end-users regarding the D365 implementation, ensuring lessons learned are captured and shared for continuous improvement and future deployments.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Previous experience in an operations business within a professional services company desirable
- A deep understanding of data cleansing initiatives
- Minimum 8 years of working experience in related field
Key attributes
- Excellent oral and written communications and organizational skills
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
