Job Description

Reporting to the APAC L&D Associate Director this role supports the APAC L&D Associate Director to design, implement, and manage learning initiatives and programs to boost employee skills, performance, and career growth, aligning individual development with company goals by identifying skill gaps, creating materials, delivering training, and evaluating effectiveness, acting as a key link between HR and strategic business needs across Asia. 

Duties and responsibilities

L&D strategy 

  • Work with the Associate Director L&D Learning & Development, Head of People Asia, and Asia HRMs and HRBPs to communicate the regional L&D strategy and associated initiatives  

  • Work with the Associate Director L&D Learning & Development embed the L&D strategy across the Asia business, delivering solutions which deliver the best outcomes  

  • Support the development of a cohesive and structured L&D offering across all disciplines and role levels in Asia  

  • Evaluate training effectiveness including analysing participant feedback and developing tools to outline the return on investment 

  • Work with the Global L&D team to tailor and deploy global initiatives in the Asia region where appropriate updating internal databases. 

Skills and experience

  • Solid understanding of HR/L&D concepts and functions. 

  • Proven experience in designing, delivering, and evaluating learning programs that build capability and drive performance outcomes. 

  • Skilled in developing engaging training materials, e-learning content, and blended learning solutions that cater to diverse audiences. 

  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with leaders, teams, and external providers. 

  • Experience managing Learning Management Systems (LMS) and using data and analytics to monitor and report on learning outcomes. 

  • Experience supporting organisational change through learning interventions that build readiness and support adoption of new processes or systems. 

  • Strong analytical and evaluation skills, with the ability to assess program effectiveness and recommend enhancements. 

  • Familiarity with digital learning technologies, virtual platforms, and innovative approaches to remote and hybrid learning delivery. 

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and timelines while maintaining quality outcomes.  

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with, influence and engage diverse stakeholders and audiences. 

  • Excellent administrative, reporting, and organisational skills with proven ability to deal with multiple tasks, establish priorities and meet required deadlines. 

  • Organised and process oriented with the ability to manage conflicting timescales and priorities. 

  • Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders across the business as well as externally. 

Qualifications

  • Professionally qualified in Training and Assessment, Administration or Human Resources or related field (preferred) 

  • Minimum 8 years' experience, with recent 3-5 years experience in learning and development in a similar role in large, complex organisations. 

  • Strong understanding in the cultural nuances of the way of working in Asia, with demonstrable experience working in cross matrix organisations.
