Job Description

  • Establishes a regular drumbeat of activities for the site planning team
  • Chairs weekly planning meetings with Contractors’ site planners; participates in regular planning coordination meetings with client’s planners;
  • Actively participates to monthly progress review meetings, reviews and recommends suitable actions to mitigate delays
  • In collaboration with the other members of the site team, assesses the schedule and proposed recovery plans for achievability
  • Reviews the critical path from the P6 schedule submitted by Contractors
  • Supports the Contractors with the development and approval for use of micro-schedules (e.g. COW) as requested by the client
  • Performs what-if scenario analysis taking into consideration known delays, current trends, changes in construction or delivery sequence by Contractors
  • Responsible for providing guidance to Contractors on the implementation of a rolling wave methodology (e.g. construction sequence into MC, pre-comm, comm. Sequence)
  • Supports the risk engineer with the preparation of schedule models for input to risk analysis events
  • Actively participate in identifying schedule risks and mitigation actions
  • Supports the Client’s Contracts Manager by evaluating time related claims (EOT)
  • Always Upholds Client’s HSE standards, by actively participating in regular safety walks and delivering safety moments

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience (25+ yrs) in project controls in oil & gas, energy, infrastructure sector (offshore wind experience a bonus) – Yard fabrication experience preferred - A mix of Client and EPC experience ideal
  • Extensive knowledge and proficiency in using Primavera P6
  • Familiar with probabilistic schedule risk analysis process and tools (e.g. Oracle Cloud, Oracle Primavera Risk Analysis, Deltek Acumen Fuse, Safran Risk)
  • Experience with managing teams (multi-location experience preferred)
  • Project Management certifications or other industry related certifications a bonus (e.g. PMP by Project Management Institute, Certified Scheduling Professional CSP by AACE International)
  • Capable of delivering clear and concise presentations, writing reports
  • Self-organized, self-motivated individual
  • Willing to coach more junior resources
  • Excellent communicator (Fluent in English oral and written)
