Job Description

The Internal Communications Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the internal communications strategy for Turner & Townsend in Asia. The successful candidate will report to the Associate Director and ensure effective communication across the region, fostering employee engagement and alignment with the company's strategic goals. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Internal Communications Strategy:
    • Developing and executing the internal communications strategy for Asia.
    • Collaborate with the Associate Director in creating and implementing communication plans that align with business priorities.
  2. Content Creation and Management:
    • Develop and manage internal communications content, including newsletters, intranet updates, and internal announcements.
    • Ensure all communications are consistent with the company's brand and messaging
  3. Employee Engagement:
    • Create a framework for internal events, town halls, and employee engagement initiatives.
    • Produce internal communications and events templates that can be localised at a market level.
    • Gather feedback from employees to continuously improve communication efforts.
  4. Collaboration:
    • Work closely with various departments to ensure alignment and consistency in internal communications.
    • Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to integrate internal and external messaging.
  5. Measurement and Reporting:
    • Track and measure the effectiveness of internal communications initiatives.
    • Provide regular reports and insights to the Associate Director.
  6. Change Management:
    • Drive internal communications activities that help our people embrace and navigate change, using change management framework.
    • Lead the production of emails, events, and other communications that help build a combined team, especially in the context of the integration of CBRE project management into Turner & Townsend (as announced in June 2024).
  7. Culture and Values:
    • Establish and advocate Turner & Townsend's culture and values across the region.
    • Develop initiatives that promote and reinforce the company's core values and positive work culture.
  8. Staff Cascades and Broadcasts:
    • Support all staff cascades and work closely with the Regional Managing Director using Teams Broadcasts and other broadcast software.
    • Ensure clear and consistent communication during staff cascades and virtual events.

Qualifications

  • Relevant degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in internal communications, preferably within the construction consultancy, advisory, legal, architecture, or real estate industries.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
