Job Description

You will be working on client side, which is Irelands first Mega Project and is an exciting transformative piece of new public transport infrastructure, the first of its kind in Ireland.

As a part of the new client Digital function, you will be working in the Project Information Systems team to support the core information systems.

The role is responsible for providing training and training materials on the use of the core information systems on Client

This role is critical in ensuring we have a competent project team proficient in the use of the core information systems.

The Systems Trainer will be responsible for;

  • Producing training materials for the client's team.
  • Producing training materials for Client's suppliers/contractors
  • Manage a training programme, which includes frequent training sessions and on-demand sessions for onboarding of contractors and new client staff

The role also involves creating and delivering tailored training programs that equip employees with the skills and knowledge to effectively use client’s software systems and help drive adoption.

This is a role that requires a combination of technical understanding, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for driving change.

The successful candidate should have experience of working in a highly collaborative environment and should feel comfortable engaging with staff at all levels of the business as well as key project personnel & stakeholders.

A background within a project delivery organisation is preferred, although we will consider applications from individuals who have experience in IT Organisations.

The successful candidate will be organised, an excellent communicator and able to deal with businesses delivering to high-pressure client deadlines.

Principal Accountabilities

Training Delivery

  • Design, develop, and execute training programs for end users which are tailored to various roles and levels of technical proficiency.
  • Utilise a variety of training methods, including workshops, e-learning modules, and hands-on sessions.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and make continuous improvements to ensure knowledge retention and user confidence.
  • Gather feedback from stakeholders and end users to refine training practices.

 

 

Qualifications

Experience

Essential

  • At least 3 years’ experience of training development and delivery

Preferred

  • Experience delivering training on an infrastructure project or across a large organisation
  • Experience of providing training on information systems

Skills

  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to create effective training materials
  • Ability to train users of the systems
  • Ability to train other trainers with the “train the trainer” approach

 

Formal Education Qualifications

Not Essential, but preferred

  • A qualification in training provision or similar.
