Turner & Townsend's Data and Digital Advisory team is expanding and looking for a Principal Consultant to join the team. As a member of our Data & Digital Consulting team, you will be ‘output’ focused and have experience working across a variety of sectors and client types, supporting delivery and implementation of performance improvements across Portfolios and Programs of work. In addition to driving impactful client outcomes you will be expected to support business and service development to help grow our team and market presence. We are looking for someone with a passion for data improvements and client excellence, but who is also keen to help build our team and service profile and as continue on our journey as a leader within industry.
Job Description
As a Principal Consultant, you will support the key analytical and system development activities performed by the Consulting Data and Digital Team for our clients, including:
- Providing data strategy and design recommendations to our clients based upon data maturity diagnostics
- Develop digital technology strategies including investment recommendations
- Lead digital project implementation through stakeholder management and scope coordination
- The development of key client data insight reports used to drive enhanced portfolio performance and management
- The development of program/ portfolio management systems used to improve delivery reporting and control
- Deploying enhanced data management frameworks with clients and managing increased levels of data competency across organisations
As a Principal Consultant, you will be expected to support our team by:
- Support our market presence by identifying new project opportunities through networking and relationship building
- Having the ability to lead and deliver open tender responses and have strong proposal response ability who understands what a strong proposal response looks like
- Support on service line development by identifying new products or methodologies which can be taken to market
- Help manage internal data warehousing platform environments and our internal data strategies
- Help our broader team members developed through mentoring and coaching with a focus data and digital professional development
In addition to these primary activities in the role you may be asked to assist with the following activities:
- Development of key client financial reports and scenario analytics used in Business Case Development
- Providing hands on PMO support through the management of programs and coordinating key data entry required for delivery and financial reporting
- Assisting with data and digital diagnostics findings reports and recommendation papers.
- Identifying improvement or efficiency opportunities and producing coherent and persuasive cases for data and digital change.
- Translating client data and digital strategy into clear action plans that make a tangible difference and leading performance improvement initiatives
- Oversight and management of system deployments with vendors, including implementation planning, ensuring the production of the detailed project plan.
- Development of small-scale applications which can deployed to clients, or for internal use.

Qualifications
- Be currently in Australia with full Australian working rights.
- A degree in one of the following: Computer/ Data Science, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Commerce, Engineering
- A minimum of 5 years professional experience in one of the following fields: management consulting, business management, and project management or information technology
- Good understanding of business improvement approaches including business process re-engineering, system development, change management and other relevant techniques.
- (Preferred) Experience in Data and Digital roles; Data Analyst, Digital Consultant, Data Scientist, Data Engineer, Cyber Security, Technology Specialist, System Developer
- (Preferred) Experience of working across a variety of sectors that include property, retail, banking and both the private and public sector.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Enthusiastic, ability to work autonomously and strong problem solving skills.
