Job Description
Turner & Townsend are seeking an Infrastructure Lead to join our team and support a large-scale petrochemical construction project. This is ONSITE in Albany, New York.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Serve as site subject matter expert and project engineer for structural maintenance and improvements on site. This scope would include equipment-related infrastructure such as structural equipment supports, foundations, and dikes as well as building structural steel, concrete, and roofs.
- Create and oversee execution of multi-year infrastructure maintenance and capital improvement plan. This includes assessing site needs in the areas of structural, civil, roads, painting, and buildings. Develop cost estimate, scope projects, and lead execution as the SABIC engineer working closely with assigned construction managers and contractors.
- Develop comprehensive inspection plan for civil structural assets onsite per corporate standards and mobilize sufficient contract resources to execute. This effort includes establishing an identification method of structural assets for tracking completion of inspections.
- Provide input on site projects related to civil and structural aspects during scoping, design reviews, installation, and pre-start field reviews. Participate in root cause analysis, risk assessments, and other studies as needed.
- Be knowledgeable of and apply relevant internal specifications and standards as well as regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Desired Qualities & Skills:
- Experience with building infrastructure and maintenance, including project or construction management.
- Experience with inspection of and specifications for industrial concrete and structural steel applications.
- Knowledge of International Building Code and NY State Building Code.
- Experience using SAP or other enterprise database software.
- Proven ability to work in team settings and running multi-year strategic programs.
- Capability to interpret construction drawings, P&ID’s, equipment specifications.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering field (Civil, Structural, or similar degree preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in manufacturing or similar industry working in role(s) related to civil/structural asset specification, installation, or maintenance.
