Turner and Townsend Heery is seeking a BIM Manager to establish and lead a new Building Information Modeling (BIM) Integration Team within our Aviation client's (DOA) Planning & Development (P&D) Bureau.

This team will serve as the new central authority, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and standardization of all digital assets and deliverables produced for and from construction projects.

The BIM Manager will report directly to the P&D Assistant General Manager. 

Essential Duties 

  • Responsible for developing a BIM Execution Plan that will meet all the needs and goals of DOA/P&D. 
  • Develops the overall vision, strategy, and budget of the BIM Integration Team 
  • Establish and lead a new BIM Integration Team responsible for producing and maintaining newly developed standards, manuals, workflows, and required protocols. 
  • Collaborates with various airport stakeholders such as architects, engineers, design, and construction teams, asset management, facility management, and GIS. 
  • Identifies technology and techniques to promote innovation and efficiency 
  • Establishes necessary workflows defining clear roles and responsibilities and ensuring seamless integration and data consistency across projects. 
  • Ensures necessary change management and training required with the new BIM adoption. 
  • Work closely with software and hardware vendors to optimize the digital infrastructure 
  • Monitors and enforces adherence to BIM protocols and procedures across projects. 
  • Supervises and evaluates new staff, handling all employee concerns, directing work assignments, mentoring, and completing employee performance evaluations. 
  • Supervises consultants and contractors hired to implement project components 
  • Coordinates with DOA IT to ensure the integrity, security and availability of the BIM data. 

Qualifications

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 

  • Proven experience managing BIM or similar BIM platforms in a construction or architecture environment. 
  • Strong understanding of BIM processes, standards, and best practices. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. 
  • Proficient in BIM software (e.g., Autodesk Revit, Navisworks) and other relevant design tools. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively. Minimum Training and Experience Required. 
  • BIM certification (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional) is a plus.  
  • Experience with cloud-based collaboration tools and data management.  
  • Familiarity with construction project management processes and software. 

Minimum Training and Experience Required  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or comparable field of study.  
  • BIM certification (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional) is a plus.
