Job Description
Turner & Townsend will be seeking an experienced Production Line Project Manager & Design / Industrialization Manager responsible for leading construction of a large battery manufacturing facility.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, able to take the initiative and drive activities with limited supervision. The ideal candidate will have experience working in the construction industry.
Job Details:
- Interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages.
- Financial management – Ensuring prompt client invoicing and utilizing Financial system to monitor a project’s financial status.
- Project planning, including producing the detailed project plan.
- Work with and overseeing the A/E firms on design evolution and drawing reviews.
- Managing the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communications.
- Work with the general contractors on procurement bid package reviews, recommendations, order submissions, tracking and invoice approval.
- Preparing formal project budget progress and other reports.
- Monitor project schedule and work with the general contractor to meet milestones and Job 1 timing.
- Quality Control – Ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Review Safety incidents & corrective action follow-up
- Work with GC to manage Field authorization request (FAR) process.
- Identifying opportunities to improve Project Management procedures, templates and products referring ideas to the appropriate line manager.
- Assist the client with alternative funding source acquisition
- Identifying and ensuring that the appropriate line manager is aware of quality, safety, health and environment issues.
- Establishing effective project governance, processes and systems to be utilized throughout project.
- General line management responsibilities (where appropriate) are effectively discharged.
Qualifications
- Construction project management experience and the ability to be highly effective in a client facing role.
- College degree in Construction Management or a related filed, and PMP certification.
- Membership in relevant professional organizations.
- Experienced managing demanding stakeholders and work stream managers.
- Field experience a plus.
