Job Description
Due to increased workload and securing of new clients, Turner & Townsend has a new opportunity for a Senior Consultant to fulfil a Senior Commercial Connections Contract Lead in Ireland.
Our client’s strategy is shaped by climate change and the transition of the electricity sector to low-carbon, renewable energy. Their strategy sums up a response to these challenges and consists of a set of key goals, underpinned by their purpose to Transform the power system for future generations. Our client’s Infrastructure office leads the development and delivery of the power system and interconnection investment programmes in collaboration with partners, customers & communities. We now seek an innovative Senior Commercial Contracts Lead to join us and play a key role in the transition to a low carbon energy future.

The Opportunity
The duties of the role involves:-
providing commercial and contractual management of a significant portfolio of complex, high profile customer projects – working with some of the largest companies in the world,
ongoing review and development of procedures and documentation for quality and accuracy,
lead the design and development of new connection contractual documentation as required.
assist with the development and implementation of wider connection policy.
managing and leading strategic change related projects - for example innovations to more effectively meet the needs of connecting customers, our key stakeholders and company strategy,
supporting the development of high performance capabilities and behaviours within the team along with a proactive customer and stakeholder engagement approach
pre-empt and lead the management of legal challenges relating to contractual matters.
leading engagement and coordinating with customers including meetings, reporting, relationship management, and general communication. Supporting team members as required, and
managing a team of contract managers and supporting them in their roles, including allocating/reviewing work and providing training and mentoring.
Qualifications
Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience with a holistic understanding of the power industry and proven experience of providing contractual/commercial management of a portfolio of largescale projects – overseeing the delivery of complex solutions and an ability to drive successful outcomes.
Preferably possess degree related to engineering, quantity surveying or equivalent.
Strong communication skills with an emphasis on high quality report writing and ability to communicate effectively with customers and business stakeholders, (including senior management team), via meetings, presentations and reports.
Proven commercial awareness with strong vendor management skills and be passionate and engaging with a drive and enthusiasm to deliver on the company Strategy with and through others.
Broad and comprehensive understanding of the complex technical and commercial aspects of the power industry, connection customers and key industry stakeholders.
Ability to articulate technical concepts and analysis to non-technical audiences and business leaders.
Demonstrated flexible working approach with the ability to lead and prioritise a wide range of demands and activities whilst maintaining a professional and positive focus.
