Job Description

Do you have experience of digital delivery in the infrastructure sector, and are now looking for the next step of your career? We work with client organisations to shape and influence how they manage their infrastructure projects. This is an opportunity to make a big impact on the efficiency of how major infrastructure projects are planned and delivered while helping our clients achieve their Net Zero vision, through use of information management and digital technologies. 

You will have a diverse role, where your work will include development of strategies, process mapping, implementation of technologies, and feasibility assessments across the infrastructure sector. You will work in a variety of positions which could include in a strategic digital advisory role or alongside the project delivery team to implement and deliver digital ways of working, which could be either client facing or internally. 

You will be an enthusiastic advocate for the use of information management and digital on infrastructure projects. You have a genuine passion to make a real difference to help our clients become more efficient through best use of information management and digital delivery. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Proactively provide trusted advice to our clients around how to deliver technology solutions, with a focus on information management 

  • Develop and implement digital and information management strategies for organisations, programmes and projects 

  • Good working knowledge of ISO19650 industry standards and how they affect our service lines, deliverables, and clients  

  • Awareness & understanding of lifecycle delivery management using waterfall and Agile methodologies 

  • Consideration of People, Process, Technology to ensure a holistic approach to digital delivery and information management across programmes, projects, and organisations 

  • Apply rigorous quality procedures for management of version control and audit trail 

  • Build client relationships and reinforce credibility as an information management subject matter expert (SME) to identify opportunities where T&T can assist.  

  • Research and evaluate the potential application of new and emerging technologies 

  • Able to work alone or in high performance teams  

  • Support others and providing training on use of digital technologies 

  • Maintain awareness of key industry trends; interpret and report to the wider team 

  • Input into and, if applicable, lead business generation activity (bid qualifications and proposals)  

 

 

Qualifications

  • 2:1 Bachelors ideally in a STEM subject / relevant professional experience 

  • Achieved, or working towards professional membership/accreditation e.g. APM, CEng, BCS, CMI 

  • Nice to have but not essential - BIM or Information Management Certification (or working towards)

SFIA skills: Information Management, Strategic Planning, Project management, Quality Assurance, Methods and tools, Supplier Management, Innovation, Specialist Advice, Consultancy  

(Note: the ability to meet any role or skillset in totality is not essential and will not be method of judging future performance – these are purely for learning and development.) 

 

Key requirements - Essential 

  • Good understanding of ISO19650 / BS1192 standards and experience advising & implementing onto projects 

  • Experience developing, implementing, and advising on strategy relating to Information Management / Digital 

  • Understanding of project/programme delivery environment including PMO 

  • A working knowledge of a Common Data Environment and related software 

  • An understanding of data management technologies such as SQL 

  • An understanding of reporting and dashboard software such as Power BI, Tableau etc 

  • Good communication & stakeholder management skills, self-motivated, with strong verbal, written, and presentation skills  

  • Experience in one of our key sectors (Defence, Transport, Natural Resources, Central/Secure Government) 

  • The ability to travel to any location as agreed and appropriate.  T&T does operate ‘hybrid’ location working in line with commission needs.  

 

Key requirements - Nice to have 

  • Good understanding of configuration and development of industry standard tools 

  • Cyber & information security experience / interest 

  • Project Management qualification e.g. APM, Prince2, SAFe 

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform 

  • Change Management experience 

  • Document Controls Management experience 

  • Asset Management experience 

  • Knowledge of 3D Modelling & Review BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, Solibri
