Job Description

Due to significant growth and ongoing delivery success with our clients, Turner & Townsend's Natural Resource division is looking for an experienced Estimator. In this role you will: 

  • Apply first principles estimating in the Energy and Resources sector;
  • Prepare capital cost estimates to meet industry standard estimate classification guidelines;
  • Apply and efficiently utilise approved work breakdown and cost breakdown structures;
  • Support key tendering activities, including preparation of pre-tender estimates;
  • Analyse project change and the provision of feedback on areas of risk and opportunities;
  • Work collaboratively and seamlessly with all other key project and programme functions such as cost, risk and planning teams;
  • Analyse and assess costs and estimates provided by suppliers and contractors;
  • Provide process and technical estimating support production of feasibility studies;
  • Provide estimating support to manage project budget and scope (Value Engineering).

Qualifications

  • A recognised Degree Qualification in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, MRICS / DACE accreditation or other relevant qualification is ideal
  • At least 6+ years relevant estimating work experience in, Energy and Resources sector
  • Proficient in the use of CostX, Unifer, Ecosys, PRISM, Candy or other equivalent tools
  • Proficient in the use of Excel
  • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail
  • Team player with the ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English with report writing skills
  • Excellent command of written and spoken Dutch is considered advantageous
  • Highly motivated and passionate individual, showing a clear ability to deliver great outcomes for clients
