Job Description
Oversee and manage EHS management system execution for MXA mobile DRAM test and assembly factory construction project, leading the project team on behalf of the MXA EHS to ensure that the project is successfully delivered by assist MXA in fulfilling the legal duties and obligations of construction EHS management as construction unit of the project, and ensure the project achieve construction EHS goal and KPIs during the construction.
- Prepare, implement, and monitor construction EHS plan
- Assessment and approval of contractor safety plans
- Participate in GC tendering meeting and provide consultation.
- Attending project planning meetings and collaborating with construction managers
- Continuous inspection of project sites, to ensure an incident-free environment
- Work closely with client's EHS & Project Team for continuous construction EHS improvement
- Promoting safe practices on site and proposing EHS campaigns
- Verifying that all safety reports are submitted to related government institutions & ensuring contractors compliance to legal & client's requirements
- Submitting EHS reports to client's EHS & Project personnel with charts, trends, focus areas and opportunities for improvements
- Continuous monitoring of all safety related documents, reports and issues to keep all stakeholders updated.
- Possessing competencies in the field of Safety, Health & environmental field to manage construction safety, health & environmental aspects.
- Guide and participate in the site EHS construction committee for construction project and inform the committee regarding the project EHS performance
- Evaluate the project against the Global Minimum Performance Requirements to ensure compliance with policies, standard, procedures, laws, and regulations which could have a significant impact on the project
- Supervise client's project EHS oversight resources, including outsource EHS competent persons
- Review construction “Contractor EHS Program Management Readiness Checklist” and the Contractor’s EHS Plan and ensure that it is adequate to address the work hazards.
- Participate in the Construction Readiness Kickoff Meeting
- Significant hazard activities Permit to work approval, e.g. special Hoisting and Lifting, Work at height, electrical safety, scaffolding activities.
- Provide safety training to client's project teams
- Perform Base build & Building Commissioning and equipment signoff per the Equipment Signoff Standard
- Organize EHS building and system commissioning walks to ensure buildings and systems are ready for safe startup.
Qualifications
- Suitable candidates are likely to have a minimum of 8 years’ experience in construction with minimum 3 years in managerial role as a EHS Lead
- Demonstrable experience in the management of multi-disciplined semiconductor projects and/or other relevant industries is strongly preferred.
- Practiced in project control mechanisms and with technical risk assessments
- Strong communication skills, as well as the ability to visualize issues and communicate them to others.
- Outstanding organization, coordination, and leadership skills – ability to coordinate and motivate groups of Consultants / Contractors
- Ability to work collaboratively and pro-actively in a team environment
- Strong ability in English speaking and writing,.
- Certified Safety engineer
