Our Melbourne Infrastructure team has a unique opportunity for a Director of Project Controls to lead our growing team. This is a unique opportunity to lead a diverse team of planners, project control specialists and cost controllers, across a wide variety of different infrastructure projects.

We are looking for someone with knowledge and experience of established project delivery frameworks, and who has the vision and desire to challenge these established ways of working in order to bring about better outcomes for our clients and our teams.

As an effective Director of Project Controls, you will have demonstrable experience in:

  • Deliver Project Controls services, taking responsibility for end-to-end service delivery.
  • Help grow the brand through business development and client relationships. 
  • Ability to deliver services as well as manage a team of project controls professionals
  • Leading the project controls team across a variety of Infrastructure projects, covering rail, roads, power & utilities, aviation, and renewables
  • Leading our existing key client relationships.
  • Creating new client and consultant relationships and opportunities in the marketplace.
  • Growing and developing exceptional people for their team.
  • Displaying excellence in service delivery leadership.
  • Taking responsibility for their own deliverables and ensuring all commitments are completed. 

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Full working rights and currently living in Australia.
  • A recognised Degree qualification in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or similar
  • Infrastructure experience is a prerequisite, especially in the power, utilities, renewables, rail, aviation, or road sectors
  • Track record of engaging and influencing clients at a senior level.
  • Clear understanding of, and ability to, implement strategy for growth, with clear relevance to the local market context.
  • Good leadership skills with the ability to lead and develop a team.
  • Ability to produce resource-based estimates, top down cost plans or parametric cost models
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English with excellent report and bid writing skills.
  • Demonstrable reputation for challenge, innovation and continued improvement.
  • Highly motivated and driven with a passion for delivering to your clients.
