Job Description
Due to a growing demand for our consultancy services, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to fill the role of Associate Director: Data and Analytics. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker who possesses a unique blend of business development acumen and technical data expertise. This role presents an exciting opportunity to lead data-driven initiatives, optimize operations, and drive innovation within our specialist Turner & Townsend Real Estate Digital team.
Leadership and Strategy:
Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy aligned with the company's business goals and growth objectives.
Lead a team of data professionals, setting clear performance expectations, fostering collaboration, and promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Collaborate with senior management to identify opportunities for leveraging data to enhance decision-making, streamline processes, and create value for clients.
Business Development:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities by leveraging data insights to develop innovative consulting solutions for clients in the construction industry.
Build and nurture strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and demonstrating the potential impact of data-driven strategies on their projects.
Stay current with industry trends and market demands to proactively shape the consulting offerings.
Data Analytics and Insights:
Oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of complex data sets related to construction projects, providing actionable insights to clients and internal teams.
Develop predictive models and data visualizations to support project planning, risk management, and decision-making processes.
Drive the adoption of data-driven best practices throughout the organization.
Technical Expertise:
Lead the design, development, and maintenance of data infrastructure, tools, and systems required for data analysis and reporting.
Stay up-to-date with advancements in data science, machine learning, and AI to assess their potential applicability to the construction consulting domain.
Collaborate with technical teams to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant regulations.
Project Management:
Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of data-driven projects, ensuring timely delivery, high quality, and alignment with client expectations.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, and to ensure effective project execution.
Team Development:
Foster a culture of innovation, learning, and growth within the data team, providing mentorship and guidance to help team members excel in their roles.
Identify skill gaps and implement training programs to enhance the technical and business skills of the team.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, including clients, executive leadership, technical teams, and project managers, to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
Present complex technical concepts and data-driven insights in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Business).
Proven track record of at least 5 years in a leadership role within a consulting or construction organization, with a strong focus on data-driven initiatives.
Deep understanding of the construction industry, its challenges, and opportunities, coupled with a passion for leveraging data to drive innovation.
Strong business acumen and demonstrated experience in identifying and capitalizing on business development opportunities.
Expertise in data analysis, data modeling, and statistical methodologies, with proficiency in tools such as [List relevant tools, e.g., Python, R, SQL, Tableau, Power BI].
Experience with managing and leading teams, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented culture.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Knowledge of data privacy and security regulations in relation to data management and analysis.
PMP, Six Sigma, or relevant project management certifications are a plus.
