The Business Generation team are the custodians and drivers of best practice and expertise across all aspects of marketing and business development: winning bids, brand and profile, digital and social media and key client management. The team is expanding and we are looking for a talented bid co-ordinator to support our growing business in Abu Dhabi. 

Job Description

Role summary:

This role focuses on the timely creation of compliant proposals and pitches that clearly demonstrate why clients should work with Turner & Townsend. The post holder will work as part of a larger bidding team, taking responsibility for the on-time creation and submission of bid documentation. The role will be based in our Abu Dhabi office. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Review RFPs, confirm bidding team and work with bid lead on the response  

  • Develop the bid plan including contributing to win themes with bid lead  

  • Coordinate tender queries and clarifications from client and distribute to bid team

  • Review bid document and pull together content from previous relevant bids, best practice answers from bid portal and systems. 

  • Proofing bid response documents for accuracy (spelling, grammar) and relevance 

  • Ensure on time delivery of hard copy proposals  

  • Supporting with interviews – preparing materials and liasing on interview logistics 

  • Work in conjunction with the wider Business Generation team to ensure central bid library is kept up to date and bids are filed correctly, and best practice answers and unique questions identified  

  • Monitoring procurement portals regularly for new leads and opportunities  

  • Assist in registering and updating procurement portal subscriptions 

Qualifications

Key skills and behaviours:

  • Writing and editing skills, attention to detail 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

  • Experience of working with bid portals. 

  • Excellent organisation skills and ability to prioritise 

  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines 

  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks 

Qualifications:   

  • Ideally degree qualified in a relevant subject, such as Marketing, Business, English or an Engineering discipline (list not exhaustive). 

  • Demonstrable experience at producing draft bid responses (minumum 2 years) 

  • Experience in MS Office suite 

  • Skilled in Microsoft PowerPoint (required) and a design-based software such as InDesign (preferred) 

  • APMP Foundation level Certification is advantageous
