Job Description

As a part of our growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Scheduler to join the team. The Scheduler will be taking responsibility on a major real estate commission in the Hague in the Netherlands. The commission is a complex multi-year programme for a campus with multiple buildings.  

As a Scheduler, you will apply your advanced planning experience in scheduling, progress measurement, change management implementation and analysis. You will implement the project planning/scheduling strategy, plans and procedures, reflecting both company and contractor roles, responsibilities, and expectations.  

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Prepare overall master programme schedule, together with sub project schedules, consulting with project managers, internal client departments/ stakeholders, designers, technical experts and contractors;

  • Ensure that schedule related data from vendors, suppliers, engineering and construction contractors of actual projects is provided as feedback into the planning and scheduling systems;  

  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of the schedules produced, maintaining independence as a planning engineer when advising on issues requiring judgment;  

  • Coordinating and monitoring project timelines and deadlines with internal departments and external stakeholders;

  • Identifying potential project schedule delays and facilitating intervention in a timeous manner;

  • Recommending actions to keep projects completed on time;

  • Keeping stakeholders informed of project timelines and deadlines; 

  • Documenting project scheduling processes and maintaining records;

  • Ability to balance multiple projects executed in multiple locations and by multiple contractors;  

  • Track and monitor portfolio schedule;  

  • Prepare the integrated planning/scheduling contribution to the Monthly Project Report and specific reports/presentations;  

  • Analyze and highlight the overall schedule impact of any variance/change order;  

  • Prepare resourcing plans for the overall and individual project phases, identifying any excessive peak numbers and making recommendations for peak leveling;

  • Ability to create a Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA) to determine the achievability of a schedule and its chance of meeting the project's defined goals. 

Qualifications

  • 3-6 years of experience in planning of construction projects including the pre-construction/ design phase and execute phase, the ideal candidate will have experience working on corporate real estate construction and fit-out projects; 

  • Strong understanding in planning/scheduling policies, methods, and procedures that include advanced planning and scheduling techniques, risk analysis and risk management;  

  • Advanced level of experience using project scheduling tools, such as Primavera P6 and MS Project;  

  • Demonstrable track record on large real estate projects; 

  • Self-starter – highly motivated and able to initiate both business development and project/delivery activities;  

  • Fluent English and (preferably) Dutch language skills.
