We have a very exciting position available for an Infrastructure Director to lead our South Australia team. We are looking for someone who can help deliver large projects (Roads, Tunnels, Utilities, Rail), manage the team and also help build the Turner & Townsend brand. 

Job Description

  • Drives local business vision, strategy, focus and goals 
  • Establishes and maintains a client-focused environment 
  • Leads business development activities and provides communication and focus 
  • Delivers an exciting team vision, which inspires others to perform beyond their initial aspirations 
  • Supports client organisations to develop and deliver major projects and programs efficiently and effectively 
  • Uses wide market knowledge to develop and improve business activities, ensuring they are aligned with client needs 
  • Proactively takes strategic ideas and opportunities to our clients, and identifies new services that could add value 
  • Creates operational and strategic plans to ensure commercial goals are achieved, risks defined, and projects are on target 
  • Actively monitors any risks that may threaten Turner & Townsend’s brand and market position and puts relevant measures in place 
  • Provides leadership within the infrastructure team and South Australa hub while mentoring to the wider team 
  • Manages the delivery of team outputs in accordance with agreed time-scales and quality standards 

Qualifications

  • Must be currently in Australia with full working rights
  • Professionally qualified in one or more of the following fields: construction, cost management, engineering or project management 
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in a similar industry. 
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of the construction industry.
  • Experience with major projects in the roads, tunnels and utilities sectors.
  • Exceptional business development experience with a large network in the South Australia infrastructure market. 
  • Experience of working within a client focussed consultancy environment.  
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to work with staff at all levels 
  • Strong time management skills, quick thinking and resilience to deal with a fast-paced environment. 
  • Good attention to detail with the ability to multitask 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
