Job Description

We are looking for an energetic, proactive, and experienced person to join our business in the Real Estate Portfolio & Programme Management team (REPPM) as a Programme Manager in our team delivering our Net Zero Carbon Portfolios & Programmes.

REPPM are currently developing and delivering exciting net zero carbon portfolios and programmes of work for a variety of clients across the private and public sectors. Our programmes cover work locally and across the globe and offer exciting challenges and exposure to some of the most innovative schemes in the marketplace. 

We are striving towards our vision of net zero and a carbon neutral future. We are interested in candidates who are portfolio and programme management professionals, ideally with real estate experience, who wish to drive the net zero carbon agenda in the UK and/or globally, and candidates with this interest who bring experience in sustainability / net zero portfolio and programme delivery. Our programmes encompass workplace behaviours and compliance as well as asset transformation, so engaging with all stakeholders is key in successfully transforming organisations into net zero carbon operations. These programmes are rarely linear so you must be comfortable in rapidly evolving and dynamic environments.

We are seeking candidates that have experience of leading and delivering tasks in programmes, portfolios or projects, have the desire to support the growth of our real estate net zero carbon business in portfolio and programme management, and enjoy working in fast-paced environments.

This role will be a part of our growing net carbon zero team and play a significant part in the continued expansion of our team and our services in this exciting period of growth.

This role will be expected to support the activities within REPM team and take a lead role when delivering scope with some of our clients.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Assisting the Senior Programme Manager or Commission Lead on a range of tasks, including:
  • Managing client relationships and related commission outputs and deliverables
  • Managing efficient data collection and benchmarking
  • Operating effective processes and systems to be used throughout the programme
  • Managing the interface with the client and other consultants at all programme stages
  • Capturing the client and commission requirements and reporting on progress
  • Support the set up, delivery and close out activities of programmes in accordance with the requirements of the role
  • Identifying opportunities to develop new business with existing clients and reporting such opportunities to the appropriate line manager
  • Support the production of tender bid documents
  • Identifying ways in which programme management products and services can be improved
  • Understanding and identifying cross-divisional opportunities

Qualifications

Essential Experience & Qualifications:

  • Degree educated in a construction, real estate or business management-related degree
  • Portfolio, Programme, Project or Cost Management experience in construction or other sectors
  • User of data management software and digital systems for performance management, analytics and/or quality assurance

Other Skills

  • Able to build strong, professional client relationships and proactively identifies and resolves client’s issues
  • Attention to detail in service delivery, communications and ways of working with others
  • Demonstrably excellent analytic and communication skills
  • Commercial awareness including the ability to articulate business decisions within the wider context and market trends
  • Confident leading alone and working as part of a team, with ability to flex according to the needs of the programme
  • A desire to grow and develop roles into more senior opportunities
  • Business development experience, in the context of identifying opportunities with existing as well as new clients
  • Possess an approach to working that covers delivery of tasks and effective stakeholder engagement
  • Programme leadership experience would be beneficial

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/QUALITIES:

  • Able to build strong, professional client relationships and proactively identifies and resolves client’s issues.
  • Attention to detail
  • Demonstrably strong communication skills
  • Active team member who shares skills and knowledge and recognizes industry best practice
  • Commercial awareness including the ability to articulate and justify financial impact of business decisions
  • Ability to analyse information quickly and report to the benefit of the team
  • Ideally professionally qualified in one or more of: programme management, engineering, construction, surveying, architecture, information technology, sustainability or a related field
  • Business development experience, in the context of identifying opportunities with existing as well as new clients
  • Competent user of data management software (for example Excel) and systems for data cleansing, management, analytics and quality assurance
  • Possess an approach to working that covers delivery of tasks and effective stakeholder engagement
  • Programme delivery management experience from a consultancy, main contractor or engineering background would be beneficial
