Job Description

We are looking for a motivated, ambitious and experienced consultant to join our growing Digital Advisory team as a Principal Consultant or Associate Director.

The ideal candidate understands how to apply digital, data and technology to transform infrastructure projects, programmes, enterprises and assets - with a strong technical grounding and the proven ability to deliver value-generating digital consultancy to UK and global infrastructure organisations.

You will work in our Digital Advisory team and have an alignment to infrastructure (transport, utilities, power, defence, and the like).

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage the delivery of digital advisory commissions including management of multidisciplinary teams
  • Support the development and growth of digital our advisory services, products, capabilities and people to drive business growth
  • Manage the production of digital advisory proposals/bids and contribute to related business development activities
  • Develop trusting business relationships with our clients, industry groups, and partners
  • Manage and contribute to the successful delivery of digital, data and technology initiatives

Skills and Experience

  • Relevant professional experience having worked for a management consultancy, engineering consultancy, or in an in-house digital transformation role with the ability to advise and apply knowledge
  • Experience of winning, leading and delivering digital transformation and associated consultancy projects in a relevant sector such as transport, utilities, power generation, power transmission, manufacturing, defence or central government
  • Confident working in a technology-driven environment but not necessarily from an IT background
  • Understanding of the interplay between human and technology sides of digital transformation
  • Constructive challenge of the status quo and taking innovative ideas from concept to practical execution
  • Comfortable with uncertainty and confident applying knowledge and skills to new challenges and different environments
  • Understanding and experience of three or more of the following topics in a built asset sector consulting context:
  • Digital strategy and transformation
  • Data strategy including data architecture, modelling, governance, and literacy
  • Project, programme or portfolio management (P3M) and associated disciplines  
  • BIM and Information Management
  • Digital Twin concepts and strategy
  • Enterprise architecture principles, methods, and tools
  • Business analysis methods and models
  • Business intelligence and data analytics
  • Transformation office and business change
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in designing and facilitating multidisciplinary workshops
  • Understand the challenges of business change and methods of managing change 
  • Ability to work in fast-paced multidisciplinary teams, engage credibly at a senior level, provide direction, and help others in the team to develop

  • Degree or Masters in a STEM discipline (or equivalent
  • Chartered or equivalent professional qualification with a professional institution or recognised body
