Job Description

Turner & Townsend are looking for Project Manager to join our award winning, for Bangalore cost centre, growing project management team working within Turner & Townsend's team.

There are long term secured frameworks with national and regional organisations within the following sectors - Retail, Commercial, Industrial, Education, etc.

Role within the project:

Project Manager will be responsible for PEB structure and complex roofing.

Scope:

  • Represent client on site and constantly communicate with client’s construction and operation teams regarding the status of the Work and any issues, including snagging, upcoming work, warranty, and change orders.
  • Assist client in performing an overall evaluation of the Project.
  • Advise client as is practicable on the schedule implications of proposed changes to client’s requirements in accordance with the change management system.
  • Prepare periodic reports in an agreed format at weekly intervals to validate the construction progress reports by the developer’s contractors, and reports the progress on client contracted construction works.
  • Report to client any delays and/or disruptions and requests for extensions of time by any contractor, and give opinion on validity of these requests.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer client’s contract  with its general contractor during the construction, close out, and warranty period of the Project. Enforce the Construction Contract so that General Contractor provides a high quality project to client’s satisfaction in accordance with the drawings and specifications produced by client’s design consultants for the Project.
  • Monitor the General Contractor and client’s separate contractors on site to ensure coordination and to prevent scheduling issues and the various contractors from interfering with each other’s work
  • Attend and actively participate in regular project meetings at which all documents are presented for review at as early a stage as possible. Assist and co-operate with the Project Team in identifying the impact which one design may have on another; dealing with any interface issues, proposing solutions and maintaining written notes of issues raised.
  • Monitor the Work and ensure that it progresses in accordance with the project schedule, and work with the Project Team to find acceleration opportunities, including potential for overtime work and schedule sequence alterations. Coordinate with the Project Team to mitigate any potential schedule delays.
  • Provide weekly reports, which must include updated snagging and issues lists, as reasonably requested by client in connection with the Project
  • Through all stages of the Project report regularly to client on the status of the Project and advise and provide recommendations to client regarding decisions required

Qualifications

·        Qualifications: Graduate in Civil Engineering

·        Skills: Excellent written and communication skills

·        Knowledge : Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, Ms Office Suite

·        Experience: Prior experience in data center , Precast technology, Pre Engineered Buildings, 

·        DC/ Warehouse for PEB experience preferred
