Job Description

To deliver standard, consistent and robust cost management frameworks and procedures to projects.

Establish project baseline and cost management frameworks.  Identify and develop project specific WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) and underlying CTR (Cost, Time, Resource structure.  Develop Project Controls Plan aligned with Planning, Finance and Contracting & Procurement processes.

Implement Cost Control Processes included VOWD (Value of Work Done), Cost forecasting and Earned Value. Establish cost report content.

Establish and maintain change/trend and contingency management.  Embed the process ensuring all participants are aware of their responsibilities.

Prepare forecasts and review with budget holders.

Maintain the contingency release process and ensure accurate current status is reflected in project report.

Develop, communicate and maintain the project calendar.

Develop project management reports contents and formats. 

Contribute and manage the compilation and approval/issue of project management and cost reports.

Implement process to capture critical project data for historical reporting.

Qualifications

Engineering Degree and/or Certification as a Cost Engineer or equivalent experience.

Minimum 10 years industry experience preferably in lead/senior cost engineering positions.

Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills

Experience in managing small teams of junior personnel.

Fully versed with Cost Control principles and techniques. Experience of Ecosys would be an advantage.
