Job Description

Job Purpose

  • Develop and Execute Sales Strategy for the Business Development Department, with the goal of supporting and increasing the client's revenues generation through advertising, naming rights, branding rights and space deals;
  • Achieving the station rights and other short term deal targets;
  • Coordinating the activities internal and external stakeholders as well as briefing and coordinating with the Marketing & Communications Agencies for any required deliverables.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Identify potential clients and/or agencies and offer them advertising, naming rights, branding rights and space deals;
  • Build and promote long lasting customer relationships, in particular with large companies and government entities, by partnering with them and understanding their needs;
  • Create professional and compelling proposals that clearly articulate the value proposition;
  • Achieve the targets set by the organisation;
  • Meet with potential customers and present the benefits of advertising in the Metro;
  • Create ideas for activations like space rental for events including FIFA sponsors;
  • Build relationships with advertising agencies to market the space and product selling of the Rail Network;
  • Exploit cross-selling synergies with SDD to generate more business for the client
  • Work closely with Service Delivery, PR and Communications Department in order to identify opportunities for communication and promotion activities.

Qualifications

Education Requirements

  • Masters Degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising, Sales or a similar field.
  • Bachelors Degree shall be considered based on experience.

Experience

  • Minimum 10 Years proven Experience in Sales & Marketing;
  • Minimum 3 years in Qatar in a similar or same position;
  • Experience in managing relationships with advertising and other media agencies;
  • Experience in direct marketing of space or services to leading corporate clients;
  • Good working knowledge about the Qatari and regional Advertisement market and major Qatari companies.

Skills

  • Fluent in English and Arabic (preferred);
  • Effective, negotiation, organisation, interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills;
  • Delivery of presentations and speaking in public;
  • Capability to develop and execute efficient sales & marketing business plans;
  • Social Media management.

Additional Information

Hybrid working patterns are envisaged but this may vary in accordance with the requirements of Turner & Townsend or clients. Candidates must be able to work at their designated home office as required. Given the current laydown of our Team and clients, it would be strongly preferred for candidates to be based in London / Bristol / Birmingham / Manchester, although applicants who are based elsewhere may still be considered. In addition candidates must be able to travel to client sites throughout the UK and potentially internationally; the bulk of our current work in the defence sector is at sites in the south of England.

Security clearances will be required in order to work with a number of our defence sector clients. Successful candidates will be expected to apply for, or maintain existing, security cleared status.
