Job Description

·       Responsible for monitoring all construction work on site and will be the primary day-to day interface between the Construction Manager and Client organizations such as

EHS+S, Utilities, Maintenance, Manufacturing, and Site Services.

·       Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with all Client, OSHA, and

construction quality requirements.

·       Work with Construction Manager Safety Supervisors to ensure all safety requirements are followed during construction activities. Including but not limited to supporting the

development of safety policies and programs, verifying all tools and equipment are safe for use, assist with job hazard analysis, responds to employees’ safety concerns.

·       Assist with development of lock-out / tag-out (LOTO) plans and application of primary LOTO devices.

·       Lead sub-contractor safety, reviews and approves all subcontractor’s safety plans.

·       Participate in project walkdowns to ensure clear communication of site logistical and

procedural requirements.

·       Responsible for monitoring and assessing hazardous and unsafe situations.

·       Develop measures to assure personnel safety and correcting unsafe acts or conditions.

·       Participate in planning meetings to identify any health and safety concerns inherent in

the operations daily work-plan.

·       Conducts investigations of all accidents and near-misses. Reporting to Client or

necessary authorities as mandated by regulations.

·       Ensure preparation and implementation of Site Safety and Health Plan (SSHP) and facilitates safety audits.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor Degree (preferably Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field)
  2. 5+ experience in a Full-Time Safety Professional role, and qualification in Occupational Health and Safety OSHA 510 or OSHA 500
  3. Experience within the construction industry is a must, candidates with additional life sciences experience strongly preferred
  4. Local candidates preferred, if not local, must be relocatable (relocation assistance provided)
  5. Must possess exemplary communication skills - both oral and written
