Job Description

 

AMCL is looking to recruit a Principal Asset Management Consultant into the Team. The role will support the delivery of a variety of consultancy and transformation projects for high profile infrastructure managers across multiple sectors on the West Coast.

 

Specifically, the role will support the US Operations Director and the US Asset Management Director in delivery of Asset Management and business transformation projects for high profile infrastructure clients across multiple sectors primarily on the West Coast.  The role provides an opportunity to lead a variety of Asset Management related projects including Asset Management capability assessment and development projects, Asset Management projects and training activities.

 

The role is intended to be based on the West Coast, however there will be the opportunity to support projects nationally, and remote working may be considered.

 

  • To work as a Principal Consultant within the AMCL US delivery team and support on a variety of business transformation projects covering consultancy, training and Asset Management assessments.
  • Has the knowledge and experience to consult with clients in the development of their Asset Management capabilities.
  • Lead and manage key accounts and relationships to identify business opportunities in new and existing markets.
  • Lead and manage the delivery of complex asset management projects and programs for clients in line with the AMCL project governance requirements.
  • Guide and support the US team on asset management projects.
  • Develop and communicate service offerings and lead bid activities.
  • Deliver project work, including but not limited to, facilitating internal and external workshops, writing.
  • reports and delivering presentations.
  • Provide internal review and challenge to own/team deliverables and determine effective communication strategies for clients.

Qualifications

 

  • Experience of working in an infrastructure Asset Management organization and knowledge of the phases of the asset lifecycle (Acquire, Operate, Maintain, Dispose) and its enablers e.g. asset information & asset risk.
  • Experience of working in a consultancy organization, and leading the delivery of consultancy projects, ideally in transport and/or utilities but other sectors considered.
  • Development of asset management systems/frameworks and the supporting elements such as asset management policies, Asset Management strategies (SAMPs) etc.
  • Experienced in change, risk and value management.
  • Understanding of asset management standards e.g. ISO 55001.
  • Business analyst skills, preferably with experience in business process re-engineering.
  • Development of Asset Management business capabilities, including associated change activities.
  • Business case development and benefits realization.
  • An understanding of asset information and information governance approaches.
  • Desirable: Understanding of business architecture design, Building Information Modelling (BIM) concepts, the Asset Management IT application and technology landscape and marketplace.
  • Desirable: Development and delivery of training courses.
  • Desirable: IAM diploma
