Turner & Townsend are looking for an exceptional BIM draughter to join our growing team. The successful applicant will work with a team of BIM draughters to translate design ideas into 3D models and drawings on-behalf of our client.

Specific duties

• To support in the setup of a collaborative Revit environment and templates in alignment with the required standards/protocols;
• To perform Revit authoring; to visualise and translate design ideas of others into 3D (Revit) models and drawings (DWG + PDF)
• Research, develop and implement areas of new technology, process and emerging best practices.
• To manage models efficiently and to ensure drawings are produced accurately and adhere to strict deadlines;
• To prepare draft outline and detailed drawings to the appropriate scale for consultation & planning submissions
• Knowledgeable in local authority’s requirements and codes;
• Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with stakeholders across all levels.

• Have an understanding of design, BIM and procurement, and its application in planning and construction management
• Proven systematic approach to problem solving and model development protocols
• Understand and navigate through Building Information Models (visual and detailed interrogation)
• Up to date knowledge of BIM technology and interoperability standards / good all round technical knowledge and enthusiasm

• A degree/diploma or equivalent in Building services, services engineering or related field.
• Formally trained in 3D and 2D draughting, with minimum 5 years of experience of Building services draughting.
• Active and proficient user of Autodesk Revit (primary) and AutoCAD (secondary).
• Knowledge in Building services modelling, draughting and detailing.
• Previous experience working in a BIM environment on a major project or programme would be ideal, evidence of BIM courses and modules would strengthen your application. Expected to be numerate and computer literate.
