Job Description

The Lead Project Controls Manager is a proactive project leadership role that promotes best practice for project services and assists the client in the overall successful management and achievement of the project objectives. Specific responsibilities include the scheduling monitoring and control; cost and revenue planning, risk management, administration, fiscal integrity, change management, estimating, Contract Business process compliance and maximizing margin, project stakeholder’s interface, facilitation and resolution of issues that may impact project objectives.

  • Ownership of project schedule control and overall cost control
  • Monitor, attend, manage, report and feedback promptly regarding all project issues associated to schedule
  • Leading cost estimate functions and review with project stakeholders against the budget
  • Supporting procurement activities which is led by the client’s procurement team
  • Prepare periodic (weekly/monthly) reports that summarise project schedule and cost status, addressing potential risks and mitigation measures
  • Perform leadership and manage internal team including scheduler, cost manager and procurement support manager  
  • Well versed within planning principles and techniques and Primavera P6.

Qualifications

  • Engineering / Management degree and/or any equivalent qualification with minimum 10 years related project controlling management experience in life science / pharmaceutical / manufacturing sector
  • Provide comprehensive, reliable data analysis and strategic information for the Project Management
  • Identify the trends and provide summary analysis and risk evaluation for the Project
  • Define responsibilities, plan and manage the project services discipline for the project
  • Coordinate with the Division Management and Department Managers in the region
  • Measure and ensure project services quality compliance and best practice for the project
  • Coordinate, Issue and manage the project procedures and documentation
  • Assist the client in the proactive identification, evaluation, and monitoring of risk and opportunity in the project management environment, including risk mitigation planning and execution of risk management.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English and Mandarin.
