Job Description

We are seeking the ideal Construction Project Manager to act as the day-to-day interface with the client and drive this project to achieve an excellent outcome. You have a chance to be a key player in our technological future, as part of a team of innovative professionals shaping our built environment.

Job Objectives:

  • Preparing Project Management reports for all asset classes related to real estate throughout US.
  • Interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages.
  • Financial management – Ensuring prompt client invoicing and utilizing financial system in order to monitor a project’s financial status.
  • Project planning, including producing the detailed project plan.
  • Leading and facilitating the overall cross-functional project team.
  • Monitoring and applying performance management techniques.
  • Managing the change control process.
  • Managing the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communications.
  • Preparing formal project budget progress and other reports.
  • Quality Control – Ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Assisting in research related to construction market conditions throughout US, including analysis of official published data.
  • Assisting in developing new business opportunities with existing and new Turner & Townsend clients.
  • Working to construct proposals for new work or variations for existing projects.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve Project Management procedures, templates and products referring ideas to the appropriate line manager.
  • Knowledge management – Ensuring that key information and learning generated from each commission is inputted into internal databases and shared.
  • Process improvement – Identifying and acting upon ways to improve internal systems and processes referring ides to the appropriate line manager.
  • Identifying ways in which project management products and services can be improved and referring ideas to the appropriate line manager.
  • Identifying and ensuring that the appropriate line manager is aware of quality, safety, health and environment issues.
  • Establishing effective project governance, processes and systems to be utilized throughout project.
  • Assist with candidate interviews relevant to skillset and input into resource management.
  • General line management responsibilities (where appropriate) are effectively discharged.

Qualifications

You are a Construction Project Manager with a minimum of 7 years relevant experience working on large-scale ground-up, commercial real estate, corporate interiors and/or tenant improvements construction projects.

  • Advising at a strategic level at the project conception stage, including providing advice on the different approaches that can be adopted in order to successfully achieve the client’s overall objectives.
  • Projects are managed to the right quality standards and are completed efficiently and on time.
  • Strong relationships are developed with clients and cross-functional team members.
  • Work as an effective team member within the context of delivering a specific commission.
  • Business development opportunities with existing and new clients, including cross-selling opportunities, are identified.
  • Key information and data is effectively shared and appropriately retained

Education/Experience:

  • A minimum of 7 years relevant experience and the ability to be highly effective in a client facing role.
  • Experienced managing commercial real estate, data center, high-tech, healthcare, and/or manufacturing construction projects.
  • College degree.
  • Membership in relevant professional organizations preferred.
  • Experienced managing multiple stakeholders and work stream managers.
