Due to our growth and ongoing delivery success with our clients, Turner & Townsend's Cost Management division has an exciting opportunity in New Zealand (Auckland) requires suitably qualified experienced Cost Managers with proven delivery of Quantity Surveying and Cost Management services.

Job Description

  • Work effectively as part of a cost management team, to ensure that all deliverables are met.
  • Contributing to business development
  • Provide support on major cost management commissions, taking responsibility for service delivery.
  • Establishing friendly, professional and appropriate relationships with clients, colleagues and other parties involved in the projects and programmes we support
  • Administering a variety of contracts in accordance with project objectives and policies
  • Providing accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting to completion in line with budget
  • Pro-actively monitoring and managing cost variance and contract cash flow, and ensuring that recommendations are made correctly and in a timely manner
  • Collaborating with client and contractor teams to manage the delivery of project deliverables
  • Managing contract change effectively, ensuring that projects remain within governance and adopt best practice
  • Leading people and commissions as needed
  • Be able to apply industry best practice and T&T process to all commissions
  • To ensure that client objectives are met and that projects are delivered to time and cost targets and the appropriate quality standards.

Qualifications

Previous experience or a sound and suitable understanding of the following will be a distinct advantage in applying for this role.

  • Degree qualified, preferably in Quantity Surveying/Construction or similar with relevant work experience (ideally in a QS/consultancy environment) at a Cost Manager level.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English with excellent report and submission writing skills. Highly motivated and driven with a passion for delivering to your clients and have the ability to work independently.
  • Ideally hold or be working towards an appropriate professional body membership or equivalent.
  • Experienced in NZ3910 and other forms of contract
  • Proficient in the use of CostX
  • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail
  • Team player with the ability to work autonomously
  • MUST HAVE NEW ZEALAND WORK RIGHTS - NZ citizen/Permanent Resident
