Job Description

To understand and lead the annual budgeting, forecasting and spend performance of the region and continuous improvement of the PMO service over the next 5 years. This role will touch on all levels, projects and programs of the real estate organization that is relevant to capital expenditure.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Drive the annual budgeting process, rationalizing and challenging the aspired budget against the anticipated progress of pipeline projects through the stage gates.
  • Conduct frequent measurements with the project leads and business units to accurately capture latest estimates, spends, savings and forecasts. These include official and offline latest estimate exercises.
  • Support and trouble-shooting on all back-end processes with business that are directly or indirectly related to capital spend.
  • Change control on baseline budgets, latest estimates and in-region capital funds in an effort to achieve the budgeted spend.
  • Joint accountability with the regional PMO lead on capital discipline, driving interventions and behaviours to achieve the budgeted spend at each financial year closeout.
  • Generate and drive continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with the regional PMO lead and the global commercial lead.  
  • To take a lead role in interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages

 

Qualifications

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management/Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 8 - 15 years' experience in related fields
  • Chartered professional would be desirable eg MRICS
  • Experience from construction / real estate consultancy background is preferred with corporate end user / commercial fit-out experience
  • Able communicate and engage with diverse stakeholders from different parts of the region. Not afraid to ask, challenge and research unfamiliar topics.
  • Team player with excellent leadership and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiation, influence and persuade others
