Job Description

  • Responsible for assisting the physician office(s) in a wide variety of specified duties under the direct supervision of the manager, provider and clinical staff.
  • Medical assistants in this position will specifically be responsible for triaging patient calls. 

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program required. 
  • Certified Nursing Assistant, Phlebotomist, or student with college courses in health sciences may be considered.
  • Must attend an accredited program within 6 months of hire. 

EXPERIENCE:

  • 0-2 years experience in physician’s office or outpatient setting required.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Able to work independently and must exhibit maturity and judgment as well as technical competence (phlebotomy, EKGs etc.) and a working understanding of the key drivers of effective clinical practice (e.g. chronic disease management, wellness screening, etc.)
