Job Description

Job Summary: 

Welcome and provide assistance and direction to patients, visitors, guests and all others entering the hospital main lobby so they start their experience in the best possible way.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome patients/visitors to the hospital as they enter in a friendly, and professional manner.
  • Give information to patients/visitors such as directions, general information such as visiting hours, call cabs or ride shares, and phone numbers.
  • Enforce hospital policies such as visiting, health screening, and safety precautions as applicable.
  • When needed Assist patients/visitors with transportation to their locations.
  • Promptly answer phones using a standardized script.
  • Remain calm and alert, especially during high stress and emergency situations.
  • Respond to patient and visitor complaints in an empathetic manner. Perform service recovery when necessary and escalate situations through the correct chain of command.
  • Monitor lobby for cleanliness and stock supplies, including hospital owned patient used equipment, as needed
  • Properly clean and sanitize work surfaces and equipment adhering to infection control standards as applicable

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

  • High School education or equivalent required. 

EXPERIENCE:

  • 1-3 years of experience.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Well groomed, professional appearance and presence.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Work efficiently in a busy environment.
  • Ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot.
  • Must be computer literate and possess basic knowledge of MS Office
