Job Description

The Vascular Ultrasound Technologist performs non-invasive examinations utilizing appropriate equipment (Doppler ultrasound, B-mode real time imaging and color Doppler imaging, etc.) to include but not limited to: carotid duplex, aorta, AV fistulas, upper and lower bypass graft, upper and lower arterial duplex, venous reflux us and PVR/ABI exams following all lab and quality protocols. The technologist will have experience assisting during venous procedures and is proficient with sterile technique.  The vascular technologist will provide referring physicians with preliminary interpretations and prepares preliminary reports for interpreting physicians. Also responsible to assist with quality assurance and maintain IAC accreditation.

Qualifications

  • A.S. degree from a two year college based Ultrasound program.
  • Candidate must be registered by the ARDMS with a RVT certification.
  • Candidates must have a minimum of two years of experience as an ultrasound technologist, with additional two years performing vascular examinations.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Computer knowledge required.
