Job Description

  • Responsible for the oversight and review of revenue cycle impacts to identify opportunities to improve revenue cycle performance in collaboration with the Manager, System Director and Finance Departments. 
  • Creates and reviews billing and reconciles for both Laboratory and Pathology.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:            

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science or related field preferred. 
  • A combination of education, skills and experience will be considered.

EXPERIENCE:           

  • Requires 2 year experience in a healthcare environment. 
  • Experience with MEDITECH Clinical Systems Lab Module strongly preferred. 
  • Experience with training preferred. 
  • Experience with report writing tools preferred.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:    

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills (verbal and written) required. 
  • Experience with MS Office software required.

Additional Information

This billing specialist will cover Reading, Revere and the Breast Center on some of their billing.  Ability to multi task and work with Epic and workqueues.  Ability to communicate to site lead and providers when billing is not being done correctly.  Detail work on charges, on diagnoses, and making sure the bill goes out the door timely and correctly with the modifiers on the bill.

This is a hybrid role with the ability to work remotely a few days a week.
