Job Description

Tufts Medical Center Community Care is seeking a Behavioral Health Clinician/Psychotherapist for our outpatient behavioral health service and Primary Care Behavioral Health Integration Program through Community Counseling Services. This position will be a dual function where half the time the person provides psychotherapy via individual, couples and/or group therapy at either our Malden or Medford office, with the other half working onsite at a primary care office providing in real time consultation, evaluation, short term therapy and crisis intervention as part of the primary care collaborative care team. In both roles patient care will be provided in person as well as virtually using telehealth. We are seeking a full or part time employee to join this dynamic department of therapists, psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners and collaborative care specialists in order to help us continue to enhance our offerings of behavioral health care.

Key responsibilities of the psychotherapist include:

  • Provide initial diagnostic assessment, and ongoing treatment, for individual patients and/or groups
  • Utilize appropriate modalities to provide treatment that best serves the needs of the patients
  • Work collaboratively with other therapists, prescribers and primary care physicians to address the behavioral health needs of their patients
  • Provide behavioral health expertise to primary care providers and staff around behavioral health approaches, diagnostics, and treatment planning of patients within the assigned primary care practice
  • Participate in utilization review proves
  • Identify high risk clients for review with clinical therapy supervisor
  • Expand access within our system for patients with behavioral health needs

Qualifications

  • Experience with short term psychotherapy models (CBT, SFT, MI) is desirable
  • Experience with DBT is desirable
  • Experience with Dual Diagnosis patients is a plus but not require
  • Experience in a medical/healthcare setting preferred
  • LICSW, LMHC, PhD, PsyD required
