Job Description

Under the direction of the Manager Patient Financial Services, the Level II individual will have attained a level of performance that is seen as a level II position in the department and responsible for identifying, researching and resolving complex denied insurance claims, providing expertise on Medicarel Insurance particularly Melrose Wakefield payment rules and regulations, having an in depth knowledge of coding as well as a variety of operational support to the Patient Accounts department using the Hospital Information System.  Excellent customer service skills, knowledge of third party billing requirements and effective communication skills will ensure this process is completed in a timely manner.  Equally important is the ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently with minimal processing errors.

Qualifications

Business skills normally acquired through the completion of a Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent.  Five to Seven+ years of experience as an Account Receivable Specialist II with commercial insurance and must exceed or meet most of the expectations of the Accounts Receivable Specialist II.  Maintains an accuracy rate of 98% or better.

Experience: Knowledge of insurance plan requirements, up to date on payor rules and regulations, medical terminology, CPT/HCPCS/ICD10 and PC knowledge
