Job Description

Position Overview

Support the Data Management Team Lead and a team of data managers responsible for installing and/or updating and maintaining DataProbe databases and other DataProbe based Solutions. Work with other Team Leads/Managers in the department to develop analytic and information management practices that enhance teamwork and effectiveness. 


Essential Responsibilities 

  •     Support value-add projects, project management, and technology/process planning.
  •     Implement DataProbe based solutions
  •     Provide DataProbe support, such as conversion scripts, data extracts and specification review support.
  •     Manage schedule of DataProbe database updates (if applicable).
  •     Provide database update support.
  •     Work with the data management team lead to manage team resources.
  •     Provide scope for value-add projects.
  •     Work with the data management team lead to resolve issues.
  •     Work with the data management team lead to provide feedback on opportunities for data management staff growth.
  •     Recognize and manage out-of-scope activities so appropriate actions can be taken to reset client expectations or obtain additional revenue to support the work being done. 


Examples of responsibilities:

  •     Mentor data management staff on complex script development.
  •     Mentor data management staff on troubleshooting script errors.
  •     Provide assistance on data management questions.
  •     Provide guidance on standards and processes.
  •     Provide effort estimate for DataProbe solutions.
  •     Attend reoccurring meetings with the team lead to discuss team strategy.
  •     Mentor data management staff on project logistics and management.
  •     Work with Product Management to support the testing of new version of DataProbe.



Qualifications

  •     3-5 years experience in building and maintaining healthcare information systems.
  •     Ability to develop, communicate and implement plans based on department objectives.
  •     Experience in developing and maintaining effective client and supplier relationships.
  •     Experience in designing work processes with clear roles, accountabilities and performance measures.
  •     Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
  •     Willingness to travel.
  •     Experience with Database Systems.


PREFERRED Skills and Experience


  • Technical & Professional Skills and Knowledge:
  • Applies extensive expertise and knowledge of specific area of healthcare practice or expertise.
  • Demonstrates effective supervisory skills.
  • Experience with coding languages.
  • Experience with Database Management Systems (MS Access, MySQL, SQL Server, etc.)


Education / Certifications

Bachelors' degree or equivalent experience preferred, or 3-5 years experience in a data processing, database building, or healthcare knowledge.
