Job Description

Reporting to the VP, Commercial, Secure Platform, we are looking for a results focused Sales & Business Development Manager to drive our fast growing business. You will be responsible for growing Trustonic’s Automotive and IOT customer base in Europe, opening up new key accounts and managing existing key account relationships.

A bit about the team and what you'll deliver...

As the Sales & Business Development Manager, you will:

  • Develop relationships across the wider automotive ecosystem and enhance our network of partnerships (such as Silicon Providers, device OEMs, and Tier 1’s) delivering the Automotive Sales targets  for the European region.
  • Manage the European Automotive sales pipeline from inception to signed agreement.
  • Build and maintain relationships within new and existing opportunities.
  • Create a strategy for winning new customers in region.
  • Lead key deals to a successful conclusion and support colleagues as required in closing opportunities.
  • Provide customer and market insight to support the development of the wider automotive go-to-market strategy.
  • Translate market feedback into product requirements. Collect data and information to provide guidance for our strategies and delivery plans.
  • Identify strategic partner prospects and where applicable support the VP, Commercial to establish the relationships.
  • Drive strategic Account Management with identified target key accounts.
  • Work with global team leveraging knowledge and contacts to maximize the sales opportunities.

Who you are...

As the Sales & Business Development Manager you are/have:

  • A natural self-starter who can work effectively on their own or as part of a wider team
  • A proven hunter with a track record of breaking into and scaling new accounts
  • Strong sales and refined negotiation skills with the ability to initiate relationships, assess partnership viability, work through deal cycles and close complex deals
  • A strong understanding of security solutions in the automotive space
  • A team player with strong persuasion skills able to drive consensus across multiple stakeholders
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic, constantly evolving, small team environment
  • Balance high-level strategic thinking with hands-on tactical work to get things done quickly
  • Excellent triage ability with the ability to prioritize projects and work
  • Entrepreneurial tendencies with an inherent sense of urgency; not afraid to take risks and get things done quickly while maintaining high standards
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to speak effectively to any audience
  • Experience in working with German and other European companies.  An understanding of the german language is preferred but not essential.
  • Good oral and written communication and reporting skills
  • Confident in challenging the accepted norm
  • Methodical, organised and appreciates attention to detail

What makes you, you...

As the Sales & Business Development Manager you have:

  • Experience in Mobile, OEMs, and/or Automotive Service providers
  • Experience in security products
  • Demonstrable sales experience within a technology company
  • A Strong understanding of the Automotive market
  • Existing contacts in Automotive market at OEMs and Tier 1s
  • An understanding of automotive software platforms

You are also:

  • Customer and business oriented
  • Rigorous in following through sales to conclusion
  • Creatively intelligent (design and conceptualization)
  • Prepared to invest whatever effort is required to get the job done (including travel)
  • Tenacious with a problem solving approach
  • Organised, rigorous and autonomous

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in business or similar discipline preferred or equivalent level of skill, experience and knowledge
  • MBA preferred but experience is more important
