A bit about the team and what you'll deliver...

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team in Bogotá Colombia. Reporting to the Cloud Infrastructure Operations Manager you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Trustonic’s cloud infrastructure. Working in collaboration with cross-functional teams you will streamline our development and deployment processes, ensuring the reliability and scalability of our systems.

As part of the Telecoms Platform Engineering team, we are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure.

As the Senior DevOps Engineer you will be responsible for:

Cloud Infrastructure Design, Implementation and Management

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and efficient AWS Cloud infrastructure to support the development and deployment lifecycle.
• Manage and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Implement best practices for cloud security, monitoring, and cost optimization.

Automation and Scripting

• Develop and maintain automation scripts for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes.
• Implement and enhance CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment.

Collaboration with Development Teams

• Work closely with software development teams to understand application requirements and optimize deployment processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure and deployments.

Monitoring and Logging

• Implement monitoring solutions to ensure the health and performance of applications and infrastructure.
• Set up and maintain centralized logging systems for tracking and analyzing system logs.

Security Compliance

• Implement and enforce security best practices for infrastructure and applications.
• Conduct regular security audits and assessments.

Documentation

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures.

Mentorship and Collaboration

• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior members of the DevOps team.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Who you are...

As the Senior DevOps Engineer you are/have:  

• Proficient in automation tools such as Terraform, or Chef.
• Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, or related).
• Proficient in version control systems, especially Git.
• Familiar with programming languages like Java, Ruby, or Go can be beneficial.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Languages - fluent English, both written and spoken

What make you, you...

Knowledge and experience in or of the following:

• Networking, security, and infrastructure best practices.
• A passion for continuous improvement.
• 7+ Years of experience in IT and 4+ years proven experience as a DevOps Engineer in a senior role.
• Telecom provisioning experience is value added.
• Cloud technologies and automation.
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS and ECS).
• Solid Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or airflow.
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms especially in AWS. Should be AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner. AWS DevOps Engineer certification is value added.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
