Job Description

A bit about the team and what you'll deliver...

Reporting to the VP & Regional Head APAC, we are looking for a results focused individual to drive our fast growing business. As the Sales & Business Development Director you will be responsible for creating new business opportunities in APAC. You will establish and nurture customer relationship whilst delivering customer solutions in the APAC region.

The main accountabilities as the Sales & Business Development Director include:

  • Strategic partner prospects and where applicable support the establishment of these relationships

  • Continuously build a funnel of new potential clients through making connections, building relationships and establishing networks
  • Appropriate products/services to potential clients that meet their needs
  • Plans to create new business opportunities in the market and winning new customers
  • Key deal preparation, presentation, and leadership to attain a successful close 
  • Customer and market insight to support the development of the wider go-to-market strategy
  • Translate market feedback and collated data and information to provide guidance for our product strategies
  • Insight, support, and collaboration across the APAC team to maximise sales opportunities
  • Ensure adherence to process and that all sales systems e.g., SFDC and others, are kept up to date
     

Who you are...

As a Sales & Business Development Director, you will..

  • Have strong sales and refined negotiation skills with the ability to initiate relationships, assess partnership viability, work through deal cycles and close complex deals
  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to speak effectively to any audience
  • Have strong commercial orientation and ability to close deals
  • Have the ability to deliver engaging presentations
  • Have the ability to effectively connect and engage with CXO level managers
  • Be a natural self-starter who can work effectively on their own or as part of a wider team
  • Be a proven hunter with a track record of breaking in to and scaling new accounts
  • Be a team player with strong persuasion skills able to drive consensus across multiple stakeholders 
  • Have sensitivity across cultures and maturity to deal with customers from varied cultural backgrounds 
     

Qualifications

  • Degree, MBA or relevant experience
  • 10-15 years of sales leadership experience in large and small organisations is preferred

Knowledge and experience:

  • Preferred experience in Security products and / or telecom devices/ services
  • Demonstrable business development experience within a technology company 
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques
  • Leadership experience in matrixed organisations
  • You must have a strong understanding of mobile device ecosystems, service providers and mobile app protection and knowledge of the region/geography
